Needed lots of alterations

I found the side of the bust area poofed out quite a bit so had to take in one of the panels quite a bit. Also found the armhole to be too small and I do not have big arms. I make the recommended size. I also do not like the way the armhole is finished with binding. A facing would be so much better

Love this pattern

I have no pictures but, the instructions for this pattern are so useful that I am confident for the first time, sewing collars and collar stands. The fit leaves me with room to twist, turn, bend, and even dance. (should I be so inclined!) without being self-conscious about pulling around the tummy area. I have since used the pattern instructions to make other shirt patterns. I also made the Harrison dress for my sister and she is well pleased. I am going on to make more Cashmerette patterns beginning with Upton. The fit, by the way, is very good. No gaping, around the bust and sleeves, just the way I like 'em, just past the wrist and not too loose. I made no adjustments because it seems it was made for my curvy figure. I might only or at least mainly use Cashmerette patterns because I am plus size and so is my sister and, these (patterns) can be made in such a wide variety of fabrics. And they can be easily hacked. I see you bishop sleeve Concord T-Shirt!
We're going to need new wardrobes.........

No Gaping!

I love this pattern. I used a stretch denim with quilting cotton for the facings and I love it! There is no gaping across the bust or tummy.

It fits! Oh wow it fits!

I have never been able to work off a pattern. The fit is always off. But this dress is AMAZING. The first one was a bit big and I had to make quite a few basic alterations. But this is because I'm so used to adding extra seam allowance onto a pattern (even plus size patterns) that I didn't trust the measurements. I was so wrong with this one (I'm sorry Harrison!). For the second one I measured myself again and took the plunge, grading the pattern to fit according to the measurements provided. Perfect fit. Zero alterations. This has never happened to me before (plus size, big bust, small back, narrow shoulders, and hollow back are no fun for fitting). I've already cut my next one and have fabric waiting in the wings for number four. I'll be living in Harrisons all summer.

I made the shirtdress with sleeves, and it looks very nice. I did a bit of grading between sizes, but otherwise needed no significant modifications. The fit through the bust is excellent. With the close tailored fit, I would definitely call this a dress shirt, not a casual shirt. The instructions are very good, and I didn't have any issues with the make.
